Tracy & Jon- Married!!!- Part I

I kicked off my 2012 wedding season with an amazingly fun, beautiful, and LONG wedding day, which the bride herself called their “wedding extravaganza”!  My 14 hour day started bright and early with the bride and groom getting dressed at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch hotel. When I arrived, the bride had a lovely suite for getting ready, but despite the size of the spacious room, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a getting ready situation with quite so many people in one small space: the bride, 7 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, 2 videographers, 2 wedding coordinators, the makeup artist, the hair stylist, and myself, all in one room! It was a flurry of activity with the girls getting dressed and the rest of us doing our work and trying to keep our equipment out of each other’s way! But all of Tracy’s bridesmaids were super sweet and helpful, and the room was just brimming with excitement and anticipation!  Once the beautiful bride was ready (and stunning!), the girls and guys headed separately to Saint Francis Xavier College Church for the first of their TWO ceremonies. It was a beautiful catholic ceremony (in one of my favorite churches in St. Louis, I might add… it’s SO pretty!). And I was SUPER excited afterwards to find some trees in the early bloom of spring right next to the church, which made for a gorgeous photo opportunity! (This was March 10… and to think that last year my first wedding of the season was at the END of March and we had a blizzard!). We did some pictures around SLU campus with the couple and wedding party before heading off to Ted Drewes for a traditional St. Louis treat of frozen yogurt.  Then we headed downtown for some more pictures (but you’ll have to wait for the next blog post to see more!).  Here are a few of my faves from Part I of Tracy & Jon’s wedding day extravaganza!
